In a recent incident, a fire broke out at the Ambuja Starch Factory located in the Shilpa Taluka of Narayanpur in the Narayanpur area of Malda. Prompt response was initiated as two fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene upon receiving information from the local residents. The firefighters immediately began efforts to extinguish the flames. The incident resulted in significant losses, with goods worth lakhs of rupees being consumed by the fire.
Fire officer Dilip Mandal reported that a fire was also reported in a cement warehouse in Narayanpur, which was subsequently brought under control with the arrival of the fire brigade. However, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigations are underway to determine the root cause of the incident.
